Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take my insurance?
We are contracted with a multitude of insurance companies. Some of the major companies are Cigna, Anthem Blue Cross/BlueShield, United Healthcare, Aetna, Beech Street, Hartford, PacifiCare, Sloan’s Lake, Greatwest, Humana, Medicare and Secure Horizons. We accept local Medicaid patients and self pay patients as well as MVA’s and Worker’s Compensation. If you have other insurance, please contact our office for detailed information.
What is your Medication refill/renewal procedure?
If you are in need of a medication refill, please contact your pharmacy. The pharmacy will send us the information we need in order to process the request within a 24 hour turnaround unless it is the weekend and we will process the request on the next business day. Certain medications require blood work and more frequent follow up visits in which case our office will allow one refill and notify you for an appointment.
Are you accepting new patients?
Yes we are. We will do our best to accommodate new patient appointments in a timely manner. If you need a referral due to your insurance regulations, please contact your primary care provider.
Do you accept self pay patients?
Yes we do. Services vary among patients due to the variation and complexity of individual problems and therefore it would be difficult to quote an exact amount that would be charged for an office visit. Payment is expected at the time of service. We accept Visa and Mastercard.
Do you see children?
Dr. Meredith is usually willing to provide neurological care for school-age children (6 years old and older) on a case by case basis. Referral for a second opinion by a pediatric neurologist at the The Children's Hospital in Denver may be considered when appropriate.
What if I am having neurological problems after office hours or on weekends?
In emergency situations, the patient or family members should call 911. For non-emergent problems that cannot wait until regular office hours, there is an on-call neurologist available. The on-call neurologist can be reached via the answering service by calling our regular office phone number.
